Famitsu released its Top 30 game sales ranking for the week of August 25, 2025 to August 31, 2025, revealing that Super Robot Wars Y sold over 90,000 physical copies in its first three days in Japan. Both the Switch and PS5 versions were in the Top 10, at No. 2 and No. 5, and both versions sold through, at most, 60% of its initial shipments.

Super Robot Wars Y has the highest Japanese first-week physical sales of 2025’s anime games, passing Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 by nearly 20,000 copies. Hinokami 2 also made the Top 30 this week with an additional 2360 copies sold on Switch, bringing its physical total in Japan to 119,425.

Super Robot Wars Y is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. A demo is available on PS5 and Switch.
