Famitsu released its Top 30 game sales ranking for the week of July 28, 2025 to August 3, 2025, revealing that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 sold over 70,000 physical copies in its first three days in Japan. The Switch and PS5 versions were in the Top 10, with Switch taking the No. 1 spot, while the PS4 version was ranked No. 12. However, although the Switch version sold through most of its initial shipment, the game sold, at most, 40% on both PlayStation platforms.

Additionally, the digital versions ranked in the Top 10 in several major regions as of August 7, including:

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is available worldwide for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). Free updates and a Character Pass based on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns have also been announced.
