Famitsu released its Top 30 game sales ranking for the weeks of August 4, 2025 to August 10, 2025 and August 11, 2025 to August 17, 2025, revealing that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 sold an additional 47,000 physical copies during this two-week period in Japan. Although the PS4 version fell out of the Top 30, Switch and PS5 remained steady at No. 3 and No. 13, respectively. The game has now sold over 117,000 physical copies in Japan, more than 60% of its PS5 shipment and more than 80% of its Switch shipment.
During the week of August 4, 2025 to August 10, 2025, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 sold an additional 27,970 physical copies on Switch and PS5.


During the week of August 11, 2025 to August 17, 2025, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 sold an additional 17,154 physical copies on Switch and PS5.


As of August 23, 2025, the game X various digital storefronts, including:
- No. 4 on the United States and Japanese PSN rankings
- No. 3 on the Hong Kong PSN ranking
- No. 67 (Deluxe Edition) and 95 (Standard Edition) on the United States eShop’s Best Sellers list
- No. 10 (Standard Edition) and 16 on the Japanese eShop ranking
- No. 12 (Deluxe Edition) and 32 (Standard Edition) on the Hong Kong eShop ranking
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is available worldwide for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). Free updates and a Character Pass based on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns have also been announced.
