Akatsuki Games has announced that KAIJU NO. 8: THE GAME will release for smartphones worldwide on August 31, 2025. A release date for the PC version was not announced.

As of the release date announcement, X has passed 850,000 pre-registrations, guaranteeing players 100,000 Credits, 1,000 Dimensional Crystals, 10 The Game Gacha Tickets, ★4 [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro, and ★4 [Blade Specialist] Soichiro Hoshina.

Akatsuki also announced a reward for 1 million preregistrations: a ★5 character of the player’s choice.
