Bandai Namco and TYPE-MOON have announced that Fate/EXTRA Record has been delayed from 2025 to Spring 2026.
The announcement is as follows:

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. has announced that the release date for “Fate/EXTRA Record” for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam, which was scheduled for release in 2025, will be changed as follows.
Before change: Scheduled for release in 2025
After change: Scheduled for release in spring 2026
We have been working hard to release this full remake of “Fate/EXTRA,” the first RPG in the Fate series, within 2025, but have come to the conclusion that we need a little more time to deliver a higher quality, more satisfying game to our customers.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who have been waiting for the release, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Additionally, the product list for “Fate/EXTRA Record” was released today on the official website. Advance reservations for the “Super Special Edition” and “Special Edition” are now available at the ASOBI STORE main store.
We will provide further information on other products and the start date for reservations and pre-orders at a later date.
Once again, we sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the release for any inconvenience caused.

Pre-orders have begun for exclusive physical editions in Japan. The PS5 and Switch versions will be available physically via Bandai Namco’s ASOBI STORE in the following editions:
- All items in the Special Edition
- Numbered original character fine graph
All ASOBI STORE pre-orders will include an SD Saber rubber keychain and a “character stick poster set.”
Fate/EXTRA Record will also receive a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes a “Fate/EXTRA Original BGM Pack,” “Digital Soundtrack and Setting Material Collection,” and “My servant & main character Special Costume Pack.” All pre-orders, physical or digital, will receive a Tsukimihara Academy uniform for their chosen servant.
Fate/EXTRA Record is in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Steam. An English release has not yet been announced.
