DanMachi: Battle Chronicle Ends Service on September 29

Gone after two years and one month.

Following the announcement that the PlayStation version of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle will shut on September 29, 2025, Aiming has announced that the game will also be shut down on all platforms on the same day. Due to the game’s shutdown, the official Discord server will be closed on July 31.

DanChro directors Nakabayashi and Akaiwa cited a difficulty in maintaining a level of service that meets player expectations.

The game’s end of service procedures and events are as follows:

  • The Diva Harmonia event will re-run from June 25 to July 23. The first two DanChro Festival gacha featuring Fledgling Hero: Bell Cranel, Supreme Gale Sword Princess: Ais Wallenstein, Rare Songstress: Harmonia, and Alluring Venus: Aphrodite, will return during the event.
  • A 3-day limited DanChro Festival, featuring Legacy of Justice: Ryu Lion and Evidence of Supremacy: Ottarl, will run from July 11-13.
  • The final Training Camp will run from July 16-23.
  • The 2nd Anniversary Event will run from July 31 to the end of service. The 2nd Anniversary Event features a brand new story from DanMachi creator Fujino Omori, and will not feature quests or rankings. The promotional video will be released on July 21.
  • After Paid Selas sales end on July 30, a free, daily Battle Chronicle gacha will be available. Event-limited characters and scene cards will not be included.
  • After Paid Selas sales end on July 30, many campaigns will run until the end. 10 Regular Gacha Tickets will be obtainable daily, Story and Upgrade Quests will have a 5x drop, “Proof of OO (XL)” will have a boosted drop rate in Upgrade Quests, and all characters will receive a cost bonus in Abyssal Exploration.
  • United Final Battle, Uncharted Battlefield, Battle Arena, Abyssal Exploration, and Magic Stone Scramble will run on their regular schedules until September 29.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle was released on smartphones and PC on August 24, 2023, and on PlayStation 4 and 5 on February 13, 2024.
