Bandai Namco has released two videos for Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra, formerly known as Dragon Ball PROJECT:Multi, revealing that not only will the game be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, but a Network Test will run from June 12, 2025 at 6:00am UTC (2:00am EST/11:00pm PST) to June 16, 2025 at 5:59am UTC (1:59am EST/10:59pm PST).

In the game’s Producer Message, the team announced that Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra will include cross-play and cross-save between mobile, PC, and consoles. Additionally, the following changes were announced:

  • Although the game’s Great Ape mechanic was meant to turn the tide of battle for either team, it was a source of frustration for players and will be removed from the network while the team decides how to adjust it.
  • A new “Divine Draw” mechanic has been added, which will add two of six special rules at random. Special rules include Enemy Bomb (defeating heroes and NPCs cause an explosion that blows away nearby enemies) and EX Cell Jr. (gain more EXP by defeating one)
  • A new “Gekishin Burst” mechanic has been added to damage the Gods of Destruction, at the cost of the GoDs now being immune to rush attacks and skills.
