According to Team MJM, their 1.5 million yen crowdfunding campaign for their officially licensed serial experiments lain RPG, “//signal.”, was fully funded within 13 minutes. As of this article’s release, the campaign has raised over 10 million yen (roughly $71,358).

Team MJM launched the //signal. crowdfunding campaign on Campfire after physical pre-orders were over 16 times more than their expected 300-copy run.

//signal. will release for PC (via Steam and itch.io) on April 30, 2025, and will support Japanese, English and Russian subtitles. The game is available to purchase physically through Amazon Japan for 1700 yen, and pre-orders will open at JJ Store on May 12. The game will also be available at Disk Union, Toranoana, and Melonbooks. The digital version will be available on Steam and itch.io for 1000 yen. A demo is currently available on Steam.

//signal. was announced by Team MJM in July 2019, and even received a recommendation letter from lain writer from Chiaki Konaka.
