When Team MJM announced a physical, Limited Edition of their serial experiments lain RPG //signal., they only planned to produce 300 physical copies. Over 5000 copies were pre-ordered in the first month.

The team considered canceling pre-orders since supporting a production run that was at least 16 times their original plan would have far exceeded their budget. However, in response to the overwhelming reception to the game’s existence worldwide, Team MJM has started a 1.5 million yen crowdfunding campaign to support both the initial 300-copy run and the excess 4700+ copies, as well as improve the overall quality of the game.

//signal. will release for PC (via Steam and itch.io) on April 30, 2025. The game is available to purchase physically through Amazon Japan for 1700 yen, and will be available at Disk Union, Toranoana, Melonbooks, and JJ Store at a later date. The digital version will be available on Steam and itch.io for 1000 yen.
