Marvelous announced that Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link will end service on May 30, 2025. The final chapter of the story will be added in April, and an offline version will be available after the game’s shutdown. Players can send letters to the development team using this form.

New Link’s shutdown comes at a precarious time for Marvelous, where a lack of releases and multiple financial failures in the third quarter (October to December 2024), as well as the resignation of then-CEO Suminobu Sato, has put the company in a dire situation.

Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link launched in Japan on November 29, 2017 for Android and iOS, and November 7, 2018 for PC (via DMM Games). Although New Link isn’t an anime game, it ran frequent collaborations for anime such as Ikkitousen, High School DxD, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, and To Love-Ru. Unfortunately, these collaboration units can’t be transferred to the offline version of the game.
