Pixelity has announced that it signed a licensing agreement with Khara to develop an extended reality (XR) video game based on Neon Genesis Evangelion. The currently-unnamed game is an action-adventure game that places the player in the shoes of an original character who takes on quests and engages in “thrilling battles,” and is the first of a planned trilogy that will follow all 26 episodes of the original anime.

Platforms have yet to be announced, but Evangelion XR is set to release in 2026.
