Koei Tecmo announced that Shin Hokuto Musou, a mobile game based on Shin Hokuto Musou (known as Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 outside Japan) will end service on January 27, 2025. The announcement comes after Koei Tecmo’s recent shareholder Q&A revealed that they don’t expect significant growth in the mobile market.

Paid Orb purchases have been suspended as of the announcement, all paid purchases will be suspended on December 26, 2024, and refunds for unused paid currency will take place from the end of the service until April 28, 2025.

The mobile version of Shin Hokuto Musou was released in Japan on December 14, 2020 for Android and iOS. The original Shin Hokuto Musou (Ken’s Rage 2) was released on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U and is still available on all digital storefronts that remain.
